199. Creating Exclusive Short-Term Rentals for Military and Government Travelers

Uncategorized Oct 20, 2022

Anthony Gantt is a retired Marine and Founder of atease. After experiencing complications with short-term rental stays during his many relocations in the military, Anthony identified a common problem with short-term rentals: they were often not compliant with the government’s high standards (the way hotels and motels were), and so the employees staying in them weren’t eligible for travel and lodging reimbursement.

atease (at ease) is the new game in town that is helping hosts diversify their listing opportunities and earn more income by serving military and government personnel. atease helps to ensure that your property is in line with government standards, opening up your bookings to the constantly moving military and government employees. 198. Working Around Your City’s STR Restrictions (AMA)

ama Oct 17, 2022

Welcome to another Ask Me Anything (Ask Us Anything?) episode! Each week we’ll answer your questions on STR, real estate, OTAs, and everything in between.

Addie asks:

Our township wants to impose their own licensing and taxes on short-term rentals, and while they deliberate, they’re proposing a one-year ban on all new STRs. This poses issues for our business and we’re just finishing up a new property and getting ready to list it. What can we do?

#STRShareSunday: Yellowood Farm

strsharesunday Oct 16, 2022

It’s time for #strsharesunday! Today we are sharing Yellowood Farm

These hosts are right in our backyard, how have we not met already? These designers-gone-farmers working on yard-turned-farm. They have axe and tool restoration, they have a farm, and we totally want to stay.

Check out their feed and get ready to feel inspired! This is THE spot. This family had a dream and they made it happen. It's a renovated 1950s home situated alongside a small family farm where fresh flowers and free range eggs await! Excellent use of wallpaper too

They have mapped out all the areas of landscaping in their property right in their listing, which is so awesome. Far enough out of the city limits but still has some amazing stargazing, and it's just a short walk from taverns and local shops.

They have really leveraged who they are as humans and what they love to do, and they've translated that into their brand. If you're ever confused about how to brand your rental, look no further than...

#STRShareSunday: Dunraven River House

strsharesunday Oct 09, 2022

It’s time for #strsharesunday! Today we are sharing Dunraven River House

This unique property is located in the Catskills and there is so much that we love about it!

They have a private creek and swimming hole on two acres, and an old, rustic barn that can be used for dining and events. We don't think we've ever seen a property like this! They could have taken an old barn and just gotten rid of it, but instead, they have built an entire experience around that old barn!

Go to their feed and see all the things they've done with this beautiful barn and this historic home. We also love that they are female owned and run (girl power!). Well done, Mary!

#STRShareSunday: All Belong Co.

strsharesunday Oct 02, 2022

It’s time for #strsharesunday! Today we are sharing All Belong Co.

This account is very near and dear to our hearts. Amy is a coach inside our Hosting Business Mastery Method and we have been instagram friends for years! We are so excited to meet her IRL in just a few weeks.

She is launching a new property that has literally been YEARS in the making: a vintage caboose on her property that overlooks a factory and train tracks, as if the caboose itself is a part of the landscape. It is drop dead gorgeous!

Amy and the rest of her beautiful family have put so much love into the caboose (literally... they painted the word LOVE on the side). They transported it from West Virginia and redone the entire thing in a true labor of love.

We cannot wait for each and every one of you to follow Amy on instagram and give her a heart on her property. Amy is truly creating an experience and we are so proud of her amazing journey. She has gone all in on this and put so much into it and we...
