Superhost Christine Kimball owns The Corner House in Columbus, and today, we talk about why she pivoted from long-term rentals to short-term rentals – and why she loves it!

Christine has always liked hosting and decorating, and she had considered becoming an Airbnb host for a long time, but she just didn’t think she had enough time. However, after seeing the success of some friends and stalking some other hosts on Instagram, she decided to take the plunge.

Christine and her husband actually already own three properties (including one they live in), and they’ve been experimenting with different ways to make passive income through real estate. They’ve done quick house flipping, long-term house flipping, and long-term rentals, but they just started experimenting with short-term rentals. There’s the potential for more income with short-term rentals, but also more work and risk – but Christine can already see this being a potential career not too far down the road!
