129. Give & Grow: How Philanthropic Hosting Helps Communities & Businesses Alike with Chelsea Dunckley

Sep 16, 2021

We all want to run a good business, but many of us want to do good in the world as well. Chelsea Dunckley of Digs Co. joins us as we explore how offering up your vacation rental in various philanthropic ways can create a cascade of positive ripple effects within your community, your town, your family, and your business.

Chelsea is the owner and operator of Digs Co., a short-term rental brand with a philanthropic focus. After leaving her career in commercial real estate management, she decided to turn her full time gig into flipping properties. This ultimately led to developing her first short-term rental, Roslyn Digs, alongside her realtor and developer husband, Luke. They decided to build another, remodel another, and continue adding to their portfolio of short term rentals.

What started as a love for welcoming guests into their homes has developed into a full blown business. She knows hosting isn’t for everyone, but owning a short term rental is a great investment. It was with that in mind that she decided to launch Digs Co. as an STR and design consulting resource offering tailored co-hosting services.

Chelsea Dunckley began her hosting career in 2017, after she and her husband built a vacation home from the ground up just outside of the Seattle area. Hospitality has always been her second nature and she loves creating incredible guest experiences that have earned five star reviews and allowed her to grow in the industry. After building and remodeling a few more homes in the area, she is now offering co-hosting services for other homeowners.
